3 Things I’m Doing to Level Up

Oh hey, sis - it’s been a minute!

I know, you haven’t heard much from me in a (long) while, so I want to start off by saying how grateful I am that you’ve stuck around. It’s been a hectic few months, but all I’ve been looking forward to is filling you in on what’s been going on!

Since we last spoke, my life has gone through a lot of changes, and before I knew it, it was 2023. Cue my shock!

But you know me - I love to find ways to share what I learned with you, so it was only natural that I share how I navigated this season of change and embrace a new period of growth.

Keep reading to find out what I’ve been doing to level up and how you can implement my tips to step into your next chapter!

Tip#1: To Become That Girl, You Need to Already Be That Girl

The girls that get it, get it.

But no worries sis - if you don’t, I got you.

Okay, let’s break it down. When you completed your last season of growth (maybe you landed that promotion, bought that house, or attracted that significant other), you finished it as the person you wanted to be, rather than the person you were when you were going through it. It took you believing that you were your ideal self to actually reach that next level. The same logic applies to this new season - to become that girl, you need to believe that you already are that girl.

The biggest hurdle we face when stepping up to a new starting line is holding on to the mindset of who you were when you ran your last race.

Repeat after me: new seasons require a new you. The more you operate like the version of yourself that you aspire to, the more your daily actions will reflect it. As a result, you’ll directly shape your daily life to reflect the one you’ve carefully curated on your vision board.

Remember that the mindset that got you where you are can just as easily keep you where you are.

Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that giving up that mindset or those habits you’ve cultivated will mean that you’re going backward. Abundance and growth can only enter your life if you make space for them. So, don’t be afraid of walking into this new year with a bold new mindset and moving like you already are that girl.

Tip #2: Turn Down the Noise

You’ll be tempted to look around at what others are doing when you get to the starting line of your new season.

Here’s my advice: turn their volume all the way down.

I can guarantee you that the vision of your next season (and your ideal life) will take you down a different path than the people you compare yourself to. So, any time and energy you spend outside your lane take away from what you could be putting into your own progress.

You owe it to yourself to invest all your focus into your vision.

So, if that means taking some time away from your feed, or simply prioritizing advancing your goals, just know that it’s time well-spent sis!

Tip #3: Your New Life is Going to Cost You Your Old One

Like me, you might feel ready to move to the next level but don’t yet realize that you haven’t developed all the skills you’ll need to thrive. But I had to learn (quite quickly) that what served me in the past would no longer serve me in this new space.

So, if you’re at the starting line of a new season, approach this change with a willingness to be a beginner again. Embracing this era will require humility because trust me sis, being a beginner usually means being bad at the start. But that’s okay - being bad is the first step toward being great at something.

You’ll need to be cutthroat about what old habits and routines are hindering your progress. Maybe you used to go extra hard at the gym for hours on end, but in this season, you need to balance other priorities.

Remember that the version of you in this current season is different from the one in your last season.

So, trust your new self babe, ‘cause she knows what she’s doing.

It’s time to step into your next level sis - let’s get it!
